A Little Bit About The Allan Brady !

Allan was born and raised on Staten Island, NY, where he was greatly influenced by all the major city radio stations and DJ's, while catching the music bug. Listening to the street corner harmony, doo wop and rock & roll hits of the era, he became very knowledgeable of the music, he loves. He started his radio career with a local "pirate" station in the Staten Island area. Then as an intern in NYC and received his first "on-air" radio gig, in New Jersey in 1979, actually working mornings at one station, and afternoon drive at another station, 60 miles away. He moved to Orlando, Fl. in 1981 working in radio on several "oldies" and "adult contemporary" stations right in the "backyard" of Disney and Universal Studios.

Allan was also part of the nightly entertainment at Little Darlin's Rock & Roll Palace (which later became Wolfman Jack's), a world renowned night spot that featured "The Living Legends of Rock & Roll", where he was the MC and host of a radio/TV show with Hall of Fame DJ, Wolfman Jack, working with many artists of the rock & roll era. He also was the original host of the Saturday Nite Cruise in Old Town (Kissimmee, Fl.). An internationally renowned weekly car cruise featuring hundreds of vintage and classic cars.

He moved to the Raleigh-Durham area in 1999 and has been doing weekend radio featuring all the great music of the Rock and Roll era. His knowledge and love of the music is deeply expressed when he volunteers during the yearly Festivals on statewide, UNC-TV, airing shows like "Doo Wop 50" thru "Rock & Roll at 50" for PBS Television.

Whether it's "on-the-air" in radio, MC'ing a car cruise, hosting a PBS television show, or spinnin' the oldies at a sock hop....Allan enjoys the art of entertainment.
